The 31-time Hungarian champion Ferencvaros ran onto the pitch tonight against Djurgarden, the Swedish champions at the Groupama Arena in the first qualifying round of Champions League. Following the good run in the previous season in the Europa League, FTC played very calm and confident tonight. The FTC players dominated the game and forced mistakes out of the Swedish defenders. In the 31st minute Tokmac took the lead for Fradi from a long shot and in the 63rd minute he extended the lead: he set the 2-0 final result. Although in the last 30 minutes Ferencvaros Budapest could have scored several more goals, the result remained unchanged.
Ferencvaros goes through to the next round, where we will meet Celtic. The game is played next Wednesday at 20.45.
