VICTORY OVER PAKS BY GOAL OF TRAORÉ
Adama Traoré scored in the 89th minute to secure the three points against Paks.

After the cup win against DVTK in the third round of April, our 34-time champion men's football team hosted the second-placed Paks in the 27th round of the OTP Bank League. Dejan Stankovic started with the line-up of Dibusz - Makreckis, Abena, Cissé, Civic - Loncar, Maiga - Zachariassen, Abu Fani, Marquinhos - Varga Barnabás. Before kick-off, the HSA Player of the Month Award was presented. The votes were cast in favour of Hungarian national team striker Barnabás Varga, who was named the best Fradi player of the month for March for the fourth time, presented by the president of Ferencvárosi Torna Club, Gábor Kubatov.

First half

The visitors took the kick-off, but our team took the initiative in the first minute. In the third minute Barnabás Varga had a header on goal from Zachariassen's cross, but his attempt was blocked by a Paks defender. Three minutes later, Marquinhos' centre was only inches wide for our Norwegian player. In the 15th minute we led another promising attack, Varga Barnabás and Marquinhos played together on the right wing, then the ball went to Loncar, but the Bosnian midfielder's shot was saved by Szappanos. Shortly afterwards, Loncar was in position again, and the visitors could only clear at the last moment.

In the 20th minute, our opponents threatened several times, first Dibusz knocked the ball out, then our defence cleared from the goal line. Four minutes later, a free kick from Paks found Könyves, who shot but our goalkeeper saved with bravura. Soon it was our turn again, but Szappanos saved his team from scoring again: first Zachariassen's shot and then Abu Fani's two attempts. In the 32nd minute, the visitors' keeper again showed great skills: Marquinhos passed to Zachariassen, who was alone on the right flank, but could not convert to opportunity.

Second half

After the break, it was not long before the first Fradi chance came, in the 47th minute Abu Fani's cross was headed over by Abena. In the first third of the second half, both teams had chances, and in the 63rd minute Barnabás Varga headed a cross towards the goal, it came back from the goalpost, then he tried to put the rebound into the goal with his foot, but again it hit the post. In the 66th minute Dejan Stankovic made his first substitution, Loncar was replaced by Ben Romdhane. Four minutes later Barnabás Varga tried to score but Szappanos was again on the spot. In the 72nd minute Zachariassen was replaced by Traoré.

In the 79th minute, Abu Fani's corner was headed in by Cissé, but our defender nodded the ball wide of the right post. Two minutes later Marquinhos was replaced by Sevikjan, Barnabás Varga by Kodro and Civic by Ramírez. After the substitutions our team had another chance, but Traoré's header was saved by Szappanos. In the 87th minute, Dibusz had to intervene as well, as our goalkeeper saved Szabó's shot that flew towards the bottom right corner. In the 89th minute, the ice was finally broken, Ben Romdhane came out on the right wing, and Traoré forwarded the ball into the Paks' goal (1-0). In extra time, Ben Romdhane even hit the post, but no more goals were scored, so our team kept these very important three points at home.
